Arancini, or Italian rice balls, are a beloved classic known for their crispy exterior and creamy, flavorful interior. Traditionally deep-fried, these delectable treats can be made healthier and just as delicious using an air fryer. In this recipe, we’ll show you how to make irresistible air-fryer arancini that are crispy on the outside and bursting with cheesy goodness on the inside, making them perfect for snacks, appetizers, or even a main course.
Tips for Perfect Air-Fryer Arancini:
- Use cold, leftover risotto or arborio rice for the best results. The chilled rice will hold its shape better when forming the arancini.
- Be sure to seal the arancini tightly around the mozzarella cheese to prevent the cheese from melting out during cooking.
- Customize the seasoning in the breadcrumbs to your preference. You can add dried herbs like basil, parsley, or oregano for extra flavor.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure proper air circulation and even cooking.
- Serve the arancini immediately for the crispiest texture.
With this delicious air-fryer arancini recipe, you can enjoy the irresistible crunch of Italian rice balls without the need for deep frying. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these cheesy treats are sure to be a hit with family and friends. So fire up your air fryer and indulge in the delightful flavors of homemade arancini that are crispy, cheesy, and utterly delicious!
